Mikaela Olsson...

M is for Mikaela Olsson and this stunning editorial drew my attention because of its simply beautiful styling...denim, cotton and wet hair = love!  Photographed by Jesse Laitinen, Olsson uses the simple pared back surroundings to her advantage, staring straight down the barrel of the lense and showing us why she is such a natural beauty.  Genetically blessed is an understatement...x

Vintage Kate...

As it's a lazy Sunday afternoon I thought I'd pop up one of my favourite vintage shots of Miss Kate Moss.  Looking as good today as she did when she was first shot by Corinne Day back in the early 90s, these early shots of Moss are among some of my favourites.  Her fresh skin and mousey-brown hair is simply beautiful...x

Natasha Poly - Vogue Japan....

This post was intended to be published last night, but unfortunately due to issues with my internet, I was unable to upload all the images until now!  However, I'm glad my computer finally decided to do as it was told because I absolutely love this editorial.  Photographed by Daniele and Iango for Vogue Japan's May issue, Natasha Poly embodies the 70s embellished styling perfectly in this stunning black and white shoot.  With her hair softly curled and dark dramatic make-up, Poly looks almost unrecognisable.  As always, Vogue Japan has created a beautiful body of photographs that would look just as lovely exhibited on a white wall as they do in the magazine...x

Orange Fever...

With winter on the doorstep, I am craving some colour in my life...I tend to stick to a uniform of black and recently I have been delving into the depths of my wardrobe to find something to brighten my mood.  By the looks of the above photographs, I'm not the only one and orange may be the way to go!  Since most of us stick to a fairly subdued palette during the cooler months, orange provides us with a breath of fresh air in the clothing department, sitting perfectly with black and grey.  If the weather continues on in this miserable fashion...I might be cracking out the orange sweater earlier than anticipated x

Anzac Day 2012...

Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne

Today we take a step back from our busy lives to remember those brave men and women who served during WWI.  Anzac Day is our chance to commemorate the many who fell at Gallipoli and to draw our attention to those that continue to serve bravely across the world.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Vogue Germany is absolutely killing it at the moment...their editorials are a perfect mix between the best in high-end fashion and stunning fashion photography.  Like Vogue Italia and Vogue Nippon, Germany has begun to blur the line between fashion photography and art and the results are spectacular.  I love a little bit of graphic black in an editorial and these images taken by Camilla Akrans are so stunning that I had to include them all!  With a good dose of tough leather and rich embellishment...Eniko Mihalik pulls off the biker-beach-chic styling perfectly x

Winter Style...

On this cold and dreary Monday morning, I gazed into my wardrobe and wished that I had any one of the above combos to drag on before work.  This is the Winter style that I want to be channelling!  I am a huge fan of knitwear, but it is sometimes a struggle to find that perfect slouchy fit...if I could get my hands on that gorgeous pink ZARA number however, I would be one happy lady.  While the days might be getting darker and the pull of bed in the morning increases ever steadily, at least our wardrobes don't have to be boring...boyfriend jeans, leather and chunky knitwear - perfect x

Josefien Rudermans...

Recently I did a post about Josefien Rudermans and her amazing eyebrows...see it here!  And today when I was flicking through the bank of images on my computer, I stumbled upon this shoot from Vogue Taiwan's January issue.  Looking pretty in pastel, Rudermans illustrates the perfect way to do sorbet shaded hair.  I know that the coloured tresses look might have just been a fashion fad...but I'm not quite over it yet and I think that a little bit of pink never did anyone any harm.  As far as I'm concerned, it might be a nice way to spruce up your winter look, especially as our wardrobes inevitably fall into a palette of black, grey and navy...x
